But, enough of that - on to our review!
gh Hill Ranch is by far the most popular farm in Apple Hill, and it would be hard to find anyone who makes a trip up to Apple Hill who doesn't spend some (or all) of their time at High Hill. But, I've run into so many people who only go to High Hill (and even met someone ho thought High Hill Ranch was Apple Hill). Not to take away from all the wonderful things High Hill has to offer, but we wanted to discover other delightful spots in beautiful Apple Hill. So, in a way, High Hill Ranch was an "inspiration" for this blog. But, enough of that - on to our review! There's a reason High Hill Ranch is the most popular spot in Apple Hill - they have a LOT to offer. From a bakeshop full of delicious goodies, multiple on-site non-baked good food options, a barn full of fresh fruit, jams, and other take-home goodies, a lake to fish in, kids activities, and more crafters than you'll find on any other farm (at least of those we've seen) High Hill has enough to keep any visitor busy there all day. As I said, everyone who goes to Apple Hill visits High Hill - in fact, if you go on a busy weekend, you're almost guaranteed to run into someone you know when you're up there (happens almost every time!). In fact, on this trip up here, we unexpectedly ran into our cousins (from Reno) and aunt and uncle (from the Bay Area) - usually we run into other "locals" but this was an unexpected and pleasant surprise. But, with all its popularity, come some drawbacks - traffic can be pretty bad if you go up on a weekend or holiday. Likewise, parking can be a bit of an issue, as you often end up parking far into one of their orchards on a really busy day. While it's a fun and unique experience, it's a bit of a walk. Lines at any of the food venues can be quite long as well, and it can be really, really crowded. High Hill has a lot to offer, so it's definitely worth stopping by . . . but don't stop there - be sure to check out some of the other wonderful spots Apple Hill has to offer.
