This farm was, sadly, the disappointing one of the trip. Their listing advertised that they had blueberries, so there was hope that this farm might offer something unique. The farm features a bake shop and a craft shop, as well as "you pick" apples and a nature trail (didn't check it out due to the weather).
Farm #7 - Bolster's Hilltop Ranch (#45) This farm was, sadly, the disappointing one of the trip. Their listing advertised that they had blueberries, so there was hope that this farm might offer something unique. The farm features a bake shop and a craft shop, as well as "you pick" apples and a nature trail (didn't check it out due to the weather). The bake shop appeared to have no baked goods being offered that day (even though some of the items on the menu looked quite tasty!), just a fridge full of cider (they have a cider mill on site) and a box or two of apples. The gift shop was equally disappointing - there wasn't a whole lot there, it smelled bad, there was no cashier (just a sign to bring purchases to the bake shop) and most items were pretty cheap looking (except for some cute aprons). There were also a couple of vendor booths at this farm, but they were closed that day. While I didn't see any blueberries for sale, they did have some blueberry bushes that appeared to be ready for sale. They did, however, have these cool looking canons on the property. Maybe we caught them too early in the season, or maybe it was the weather, but there wasn't really anything there that would entice us to come back. That being said, they have great reviews on Yelp for their delicious blueberries and one reviewer mentioned that they have a great blueberry festival there every year, and another mentioned that they are very dog friendly. So, I'm sure under the right circumstances this farm can be quite delightful, it's just too bad we weren't able to see that side of this farm when we were there.
