We got there near the end of the season, but we were still able to find some delicious apples on the trees to pick and take home (seriously, some of the best apples I've ever had!)
Goyette's is a "you pick" apple orchard, run by a delightful couple, who are accompanied by their sweet and friendly dog, who very happily greeted visitors on the day we were there. We got there near the end of the season, but we were still able to find some delicious apples on the trees to pick and take home (seriously, some of the best apples I've ever had!) At the stand where you pay for your apples, they also had a good variety of mini pumpkins and gourds for sale, which we picked up to decorate our homes for Fall. The apples were delicious and the orchards were just lovely, and we were glad we took a few minutes to stop by Goyette's.

"Abel's Acres," as our family and friends always call it has been one of our Apple Hill "staples" for years. Abel's offers all the quintessential Apple Hill experiences - Good variety of apples and other produce, lots of baked goods (more on that later), great vendors (in both quality and selection), fun kids activities, and a great view. One of our favorite Abel's Acres treats is their apple doughnuts. We've tried delicious apple doughnuts from many of the farms up there, but Abel's are still our favorites (at least in the "room temperature" variety - Rainbow's "made to order" hot doughnuts are a whole different category!). They're just delicious. And, it's hard to have just one. Abel's amazing food offerings don't end with their apple doughnuts - they also have delicious apple fritters, a great variety of caramel apples and other sweets, and many pies and other baked goods. Our family has a knack for picking the rainiest of days to visit Apple Hill, and on this trip we were treated to this beautiful site of a full rainbow arching over the farm.
Abel's is a wonderful place to visit and we highly recommending a stop there on your next trip to Apple Hill. For more on what Abel's Apple Acres has to offer, you can visit their site at: http://www.abelsappleacres.com/ |
