As of the 2017 season, Kid's Inc. changed it's name to Delfino Farms. Delfino farms (formerly Kids Inc.) is a "must visit" spot in Apple Hill, and has been one of our family's favorites for many years. One of the best reasons to visit Kids Inc. can be summed up in two words - Walkin' Pie - there's nothing more delicious on a chilly autumn day than sharing a hot Walkin' Pie with steaming apple cider sauce poured over it, with a friend (or sister). There's a reason the Walkin' Pie is featured in our "profile" photo on this site. It's just that good. But the delights of Kids Inc. doesn't stop with the Walkin' Pie. The Kids Inc. bakery features a good variety of really, really, really delicious baked goods. On this trip we tried (and can now highly recommend) the rich and moist Georgia cake covered with a brown sugar glaze (they even obliged our request to add some apple cider sauce which made it even more delicious). . . the pictures say it all . . . In addition to all the delicious baked goods, Kids Inc. hosts a delightful coffee house as well as another food vendor. As the name implies, Kids Inc. is very family friendly. They offer a number of activities for children, including a corn maze (for kids 8 and under). Kids Inc. features a lovely vista of their vineyard and fields and the nearby landscape. There is a lot of room to just walk and roam through the vineyards and garden, and soak in the beauty and peace of the countryside. I don't recall having ever seeing vendors there, but they do sell lots of apples, pumpkins, and gourds, along with apple cider (and lots of delicious baked goods and caramel apples). Additionally, Kids Inc. occasionally brings in local musicians to add another level of charm to this delightful place. Make sure you take some time on your next trip to Apple Hill to visit the wonderful Kids Inc.!
